My goals were to make the flag pop out and make the colors vibrant. I accomplished this by exaggerating the colors.
My painting is about traveling and soft and hard objects. The most difficult challenge I had to face was sketching out the structures before painting. I met that challenge by using a ruler and making marks on the painting and the picture i was copying from. My painting really works the hard and soft objects and neutral colors with vibrant colors. I have learned to paint with a big brush on a big painting for my next piece of work. If I had a do over, I would paint faster and not put in so much detail.

Green Dress

My goals in this painting were to make the dress look like actual fabric and to use many different shades of green. I did this by looking very closely at the fabric and painting as many details as i could. My painting is about fabric and lighting and all the different shadows within the dress. THe most difficult challenge was making the correct shape of the dress. I lined up the dress with the lines on the wall to help me. My painting really works all the different colors in a dress that was made with only one color of fabric. I have learned how to make many, many shades and colors out of only one color. Peggi Kroll helped me because she paints fast and gets all the colors out right away and paints what she sees.

Dog collage

My family got our dog Goose in 2008 when he was 6 months old. He was named after the pilot Goose in the movie Top Gun. My dad's nickname is Maverick so Goose is like his "co-pilot". We got him from a farm in Pennsylvania and our family friend got a puppy too. Goose and his sister Stella go hunting together all the time now. He is a brittany spaniel and started hunting when he was only one. He was a natural when he started and has the most beautiful point. He is very, very well trained and can even throw up in the toilet. Something funny about my dog is that he actually talks to you. You can howl at him and he will answer. One time when we were backpacking, he went way into the woods and came back with uman feces all over his body. He is a very special member of our family and my dad's best friend. He even goes to work with my dad everyday. We bring him everywhere just like another member of our family.

Self Portrait- The Dark Side

  • My goals and intentions in this artwork were to capture as many lights and darks in my eye.
  • I spent the most ime working on my eye.
  • My piece is all about one of my eyes.
  • The most difficult challenge I had to face was drawin the nose in proportion to the eye.
  • I met that challenge by lining everything up straight up and down my face.
  • My piece really works on the right side of my face.
  • I have learned that I can make never ending shadows on my eye.
  • Farwell helped me and I learned to capture the eye.
  • I learned from steph and not to draw mascara.
  • If I had a do-over, I would include more of my face.
  • I feel best about my eye.
